A Wireless Multimedia Communication System Using Internet Protocol Mechanisms

We introduce a channel allocation strategy to support both real-time traac such as voice and video and non-real-time traac in a wireless CDMA communication system using the internet protocols TCP, UDP and RTP. It is shown by simulation that this approach is useful to achieve fair link sharing, high link utilization, throughput and low blocking probabilities for real-time traac.
